Range Officers Update:
The Victorian/Tasmania 2008 shooting calendar will commence with the first state selection match to be held at Eagle Park on the 17th August. The match will be sponsored by PPLA, I have put a note on the IPSC web page for Range Officers for this event, and there is still position available.
The second state selection match will be sponsored by Wodonga PC on the weekend 30th/31st August. I am still looking for officials for this match. Please contact me on gjking@tpg.com.au if you intend working the match.
The Tasmanian State Titles will also be held on the weekend of 22nd/23rd, November, this has been a great match, with very interesting challengers in the past, we need Range Officers for the match. Interstate range officers are welcome.
I am in the process of updating the RO activity list for card renewal 2008, unfortunately there will be some disappointments. For range officers to remain on the active list I expect them to be available for, Calendared, State matches, active at club level does not cut it any longer. You need to maintain points from sanctioned matches; you also need the experience of working at a higher level than club competition. Renewal cards will be sent out shortly.
